That Confident walk;

Down the hall,

Head held high

A Forced smile on your face

We all know this look.

It is the fake exterior that we pose

When on the inside

We are moments away from crumbling

But we can’t show that to the world

We can’t show our tears to others

It doesn’t matter what it is

Keep it hidden

Don’t make it someone else’s problem.

They don’t want to deal with it either

The interior is crying out

Like an infant to its mother

On the inside all you want is help

On the inside you are afraid

Afraid of what the future brings

Afraid of the bully in your next class

Afraid of blending in too much

Afraid of standing out

Afraid of failure

Afraid to try

Afraid not to try

It’s scary, we all know that

We all think about the same things

It’s hard not to be afraid

But it’s time

It’s time to step out of the darkness

Embrace life

Embrace the fears

Embrace the world

It’s your life so live it

Don’t let your fears hold you back

Tomorrow is a new day

A new beginning

A blank page waiting to be written

Control your fears,

Don’t let them control you

Step out of your comfort zone

Have the courage to not be afraid anymore

Have the courage to face your fears
